PRESENTATION
The product EDIROM BIO C is a biocide based on quaternary ammonia salts and glutaraldehyde in aqueous solution, with large antibacterial range and against algae, in the cooling circuits with recirculated water having as purpose the maintenance in the system of a germs concentration as low as possible. It is mainly active in the control of bacteria which form biological sludge, sulphate reducer, heterotrophic and bacteria associated to the iron, as well as against algae, fungi and other microbiological forms.
USE FIELDS
The product EDIROM BIO C is used in the treatment and conditioning of the water in the cooling circuits or of industrial heating of the chemical and petrochemical works, CETs, etc, as well as in those of household use, made of carbon steel, stainless steel, brass etc.
It has a role of keeping in the system of a germ concentration as low as possible, and it is mainly active in the control of bacteria which form biological sludge, sulphate reducer, heterotrophic and bacteria associated to the iron, as well as against algae, fungi and other microbiological forms.
The biological treatment for the cooling waters is a discontinuous treatment, namely treatment in very strong shock doses of combined biocides, at regular periods, when the NTG level has exceeded the limits of 100.000 (105) germs, but no massive contamination occurred, over 10.000.000 (107) germs; following the biocidation treatment the values below 5.000 (5 x 103) are suddenly reduced by the attack with biocides, the cleaning of the equipment with EDIROM BIODISPERSANT 3D and EDIROM DISPERSANT 3D and by massive purgings, so that the system is prepared for a new period. At the same time the shock treatment does not allow the creation of the immunity of the microbiological material, which would lead to an inefficient treatment.
In the case of damages, when contaminations with oil products occur and the concentration of the organic substances increases above the level of 50 mg/l, they can create an environment favourable for the accelerated microbiological growth. It is required to find the contamination source, isolation or removal from the circuit of the equipment having losses, its repair and the beginning of the damage treatment with EDIROM DISPERSANT PP and EDIROM BIO C, followed by massive purgings until the compliance of the concentration of organic substances in the cooling water below the limit of 50 mg/l.
The best work concentration of the product EDIROM BIO C in the recirculated water varies between the limits 20÷500 mg/l calculated at the total quantity of water in the system, according to the total number of germs – NTG and of the concentration of organic substances in the cooling water.
The products are used only for professional purposes, by specially trained operators, observing the specifications in the Safety Data Sheet of the product.
By observing these concentrations or by the neutralization of the treatment solutions (for EDIROM ICR3A), the purging of the water treated with this product is done directly in the natural receivers or in the sewage networks of the localities and directly in the treatment stations because the limits of charging with polluting agents specified in the Norms NTPA-001/2002 and NTPA-002/2002 (Appendixes no. 2 and 3 to the Government Decision no. 188 on 28 February 2002, modified by the Government Decision no. 352 on 21 April 2005) are observed.
The products are packed in plastic containers, perfectly tight, in good condition, clean and dry.
The packing is returnable, as it is reused.
All the time the packed products are kept well closed. The handling of the packed products is done carefully, without dropping them.
The products have a validity period of 12 months since the manufacturing date, in the original packing and according to the conditions of handling, storage, keeping and transport mentioned in the Technical Data Sheet.
All the operations of handling, transport, storage and disposal in safe conditions will be performed while strictly observing the fire-fighting regulations, the work safety and health norms and the environment protection norms; detailed data can be found in the Safety Data Sheet of the product.
